The Patent Artwork collage for this Classic European 1950’s Sports Car features a design patent for the Alfa Romeo Spider by Gioacchino Colombo from Milan Italy. Using our standard textured blue background the black ink drawings from the patent filing are inverted to white to give it a timeless “blue print” feel.
Colombo left Alfa Romeo to work for Ferrari but eventually returned to Alfa in 1950.
